Connor made All Stars this year and we played three games in this round, which is now over. Since we did not win a single game in the first round, we are now done. I got lots of pictures tonight because Connor says I never get enough pictures of him. :) I will prove him wrong this time!

I blogged on Wednesday about the beginning of week 4 at Castle Rock, but the best (according to Ashley) was still to come.
On Thursday, they had a buffalo hunt so Ashley was decked out in stylish camo.

And on Friday, the day Ashley had been waiting for all week was finally here…horseback riding and zip lining…
And all good things must come to an end…closing ceremonies (and my camera died in the middle of it)…

What a blessing these counselors are to these kiddos all summer. Christ-followers that are on fire for Jesus and kids. You have never seen so much energy from the time they arrive until the time the kids leave each day. Ashley cried when she had to say goodbye (she has never liked goodbyes). We are already discussing returning next year…maybe for overnight camp. She said she will decide after she turns 10. :)
Ashley is going to Pine Cove day camp this year at the Towers and is having an awesome time. They have a full day every day for the kids.

Today was a day for celebrating all the holidays, so she wore her St. Patrick’s Day shirt…
She had another great day today and I will plan on posting more pictures at the end of this wonderful week!
We have looked forward to the Magnolia Member-Guest Golf Tournament at Hollytree since this time last year. The closer it got, the better the weekend was shaping up to be, because we had family in from Kentucky, Cannon and Neely were going to be able to to come for the weekend (not in the original plan), and everyone was healthy (last year Les’ knee and hip hurt). Unfortunately Les hurt his back this past week moving and wasn’t able to complete the tournament. However, it was still a fabulous weekend and we hope Les sees a doctor and starts feeling better quickly (we do this again at their club in late September).
The best part of the weekend for the kids was spending time with cousins! Thanks to Mamaw and Poppie for taking such good care of them while the adults had some fun grown up time together.

Although Jason and Les didn’t win anything from their play, they got some free Titleist and Foot Joy gear, Jason tied his best round ever on Saturday, JE and I enjoyed the ladies’ champagne brunch, did some shopping, and relaxed by the pool, and the guys bet on one of the winning teams during the MGA Calcutta and basically paid for the entire weekend! Hopefully when we do this again next year, it will be a success!
The kids have been having a great time hanging out at the Jasper house these past few days, but they needed a break from the hot sun on Thursday (especially the fair, blue-eyed one from Kentucky) so I scheduled them for a couple of hours at Bless Your Art.
They had a great time and walked away with some great works of art!
