The title of my blog comes from Ephesians 3:20 - "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory..." God has blessed me far more abundantly than I could have ever dreamed and I am so humbled by and undeserving of these blessings.

Camp Jasper Weekend 2014

Since we had such a big Camp Jasper in 2012 (Destin, FL) and 2013 (Frisco, CO), we decided to do a low-key, close to home, come and go as you please Camp Jasper for 2014.  This year Camp Jasper was hosted at the new lake house on Eastside Drive.  Tons of good food, fun, sun, fellowship, pool time, lake time, laughs, boat rides, etc.  We enjoyed our time together, but as always, it is never long enough.

Brent and Erin were official camp photographers this year (Jane E and I both forgot our cameras which is crazy) and here are some of their shots of the weekend fun.

Special thanks to Daddy and Mama for putting up with all of us for the long weekend.  Thanks to Brent for driving the kids around on the boat, Erin/Brent for taking pictures, and Jason for taking over grilling duties.  It was a relaxing and enjoyable time with family because everyone was pitching in to help.  We look forward to what Camp Jasper 2015 holds in store.

4th Grade @ GCS

In the last two weeks, Ashley has made it abundantly clear that she was ready for school to start.  She complained that summer was too long and needed to be shortened, she grumbled that she really missed her friends, and she dreamed about all the mysteries of learning that were before her in the 4th grade.  Well, the day finally arrived on August 21, 2014 and 4th grade officially began.

I saw lots of big smiles and received a sweet hug and kiss before leaving her in her classroom this morning with her teacher and classmates.  She was starting her desk work before I even got out of the room.  I have a feeling Ashley is going to LOVE 4th grade!

#42

No, this is not a post about Jackie Robinson. :)  Yesterday was my 42nd birthday.  I can hardly believe that I am 42 years old, but I am very thankful that I have made it this far and feel very blessed by my friends and family.

On this day, we built another sandcastle (Lauren, Ashley and I) and then some of our crew did some boogie boarding.

Our plan was to enjoy an early Happy Hour at Cosmo’s (yummy and inexpensive appetizers and drinks) and then return to the house to change clothes and head down to the beach for family pictures.
