Jason and I headed straight to Bossier City after work on Friday to enjoy a couple of days with our oldest kiddos, Cody and Courtney. Unfortunately I forgot to take my camera so I have no pictures with which to blog. We got to watch Airline High’s Blue Angels perform on Friday night at the football jamboree, and they looked amazing. Courtney has done a wonderful job as their sponsor and they were impressive on the field during halftime. After a very long game with a challenged officiating crew, we went to the Boardwalk to eat a late dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings. We enjoyed catching up and chowing down (we had all been eating so good and we all blew it – oh well!). After dinner, we decided to walk off some of that food by walking down to the newest casino, Margaritaville. We had some fun there, and some of us won a little money, and then headed back to the house where we visited until about 1:30 in the morning. That was too late for this old lady and we all slept in until about 8:30 Saturday morning (and yes, that is really sleeping in for me). After a yummy breakfast on Saturday morning, we took Marley for a walk along the river. It was way too hot so we decided to clean up and do a little shopping before heading to Superior Grill for margaritas, college football and an early fajita dinner. We spent about 3 hours at Superior Grill on the patio since the Saturday night crowd hadn’t started arriving yet, and then watched some LSU football back at the house. We love our adult kids and are so thankful for the time we had with them this weekend. Now J is playing golf, I just finished a long run and showered, and I am about to hit the books to get a head start on my classes next week.
Thanks again to the Brown’s for being such awesome hosts this weekend! We miss y’all already! Love, Mom
