Magnolia Tournament Weekend

Jason loves to play golf.  Les, our brother-in-law, loves to play golf.  When we joined Hollytree last July, Jason couldn’t wait for the Magnolia Tournament to roll around so he and Les could play some golf together.  Well, it is finally here.  Even with the selling of their house, packing and moving all their belongings, and building the new house, Les and Jane E were able to swing a weekend to Tyler so the guys could enjoy several days of golf on Hollytree’s beautiful course.

The tournament began today with registration, lunch, practice rounds (where the guys are right now), and later a putting contest and refreshments.  Tomorrow is breakfast, first round of golf, scoring and refreshments and tomorrow afternoon Jane E arrives.  We will have a fun night tomorrow night and then Saturday, breakfast and second round of golf for the guys while we enjoy an early morning walk/run and a ladies champagne brunch.  The guys will have lunch, scoring and refreshments, while Jane E and I enjoy some girl time by the pool.  Then we will meet up again on Saturday night for cocktails, dinner, live entertainment and awards.  I will try to remember to take some pictures since we usually only do that when the kids are around.  This will be an adult weekend of leisure and fun – and we can’t wait!

For now, the guys are playing golf, I am blogging, and Cannon and Ashley are having a wonderful time together (Les brought him).  They spent the afternoon at Salsarita’s and then the pool and are now playing.  They are taking advantage of every minute until Cannon leaves for Maui with the rest of the Jasper clan early tomorrow morning.
