The title of my blog comes from Ephesians 3:20 - "Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory..." God has blessed me far more abundantly than I could have ever dreamed and I am so humbled by and undeserving of these blessings.

Horsing Around

We couldn’t go to Kentucky without visiting a horse farm, and we have one right in the family!  Uncle Richard and Aunt Kathy raise horses at their farm in Nicholasville and we couldn’t have picked a colder, windier day to visit.  At least it wasn’t raining like the day before, but the result of the rain, a lot of mud, was left behind.  Unfortunately, not one of us made it to Kentucky with a “winter coat” (in our defense the forecast really didn’t say we needed one before we left) so Aunt Kathy provided us all with Uncle Richard sized coats for our visit.  What fun they had laughing at us “city slickers” out on the farm.

All that excitement made us hungry, so we stopped for a late lunch (they were all late lunches since we were still living on Texas time) at Red Robin.

Hutch with his new “QRS”, known by most as a Nintendo DS…this was the best birthday present ever (even though his birthday isn’t until June).  Thanks Meme/Mamaw for the hours of quiet entertainment for the remainder of the trip.  At least until the battery would run out and Hutch would yell, “Charge!” :)

We had fun no matter where we went or what we were doing and these kids really never seemed to tire of one another or of all the sightseeing and visiting.

Much more to come, but I will wait until the next blog for our next adventure…
